Mode UW is the University of Washington’s first and only student-led modeling organization, dedicated to redefining accessibility in Seattle’s modeling space through community engagement.

The visual branding of Mode UW is defined by a bold monochrome aesthetic. At the heart of the identity are metallic mannequins, representing a future-forward world of modeling. One that is fluid, boundary-pushing, and inclusive of all forms. Grid-based designs serve as a recurring motif, symbolizing an open-world environment where bodies can move freely without judgment or limitation, reflecting the organization’s ethos of self-expression and freedom.

The static quality of the Mode logo alludes to the quiet, powerful energy behind the brand’s evolution. It represents the mystery and intention embedded in every project Mode undertakes, reinforcing the idea that impact is both unfolding and deeply designed.

During the initial development of Mode UW’s visual brand identity, I leveraged my proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to design infographics that articulated the organization’s mission and aesthetic direction.

As the club evolved, I assembled a dedicated creative team, consisting of a brand strategist and media designers, to manage ongoing visual execution. The foundational work I established during Mode UW’s genesis continues to inform and guide its creative identity and visual strategy today.
