In my senior year, I founded Mode UW, the University of Washington’s first-ever Registered Student Organization solely dedicated to modeling. What initially started as a grassroots entity quickly evolved into a dynamic platform that merged modeling, storytelling, and strategic brand-building.
As the head of the organization, I was responsible for building the brand’s identity from the ground up—developing its visual language, narrative voice, and conceptual direction. I led a 15-member team across creative, marketing, and operations, overseeing the execution of campaign-style photoshoots, branded workshops, and curated fundraising events. Each project served as an opportunity to craft immersive visual experiences that reflected our core mission of accessibility, creativity, and innovation in the modeling space.
From creating Mode UW’s unique brand system to directing conceptual photoshoots with original narratives, I shaped every facet of the organization’s creative output. I also fostered collaborative partnerships with other student organizations and local businesses to build a network that expanded our visibility and amplified our reach.
Mode UW is more than just a club, it became a platform for emerging creatives, models, and storytellers. This role taught me how to lead with both vision and structure, and solidified my passion for creative direction rooted in purpose and impact.
